WHAT IS BREAST REDUCTION?

How long does recovery take?

This procedure is completely tailored to each patient. Therefore, recovery varies according to the technique and amount of tissue that the Plastic Surgeon has removed during surgery. Normally, patients are able to return to their routine gradually, but generally, within 1 to 2 weeks.

Is a drain placed after surgery?

The use of a drain depends on the amount of tissue the surgeon has removed in the procedure. If you require a drainage device, the nurses and medical team will provide you with all relevant instructions so that your recovery is successful.

Do I have to wear a post-surgery bra?

Yes, the post-surgery bra must be worn permanently for 1 month.

Is breastfeeding affected by breast reduction?

Breastfeeding is generally not affected by this procedure. However, there may be a low percentage of cases where it is affected.
